Last week St John came into St Vincent and taught us how to put on a bandage and a sling. We also learnt how to help in an emergency, we need to know our address and phone number.

  • St Vincent wrote some amazing poems this week about what Halloween meant to them. They then mounted them with some very spooky drawings and we were lucky enough to have some mums come in on Friday afternoon to paint their faces. Don't they look horrible!!!!
  • Friday was all about ANZAC. We all had a practice on a bugle that Alicia had brought in, it had been her grandfathers and was used in the first world war. Some of St V were able to make quite a bit of noise with it. Zoe's granddad 'Steve' came in and showed us some army memorabilia. These had belonged to Zoe's great grandfather who went to war in 1941 and returned in 1945. The children were fascinated. Our ANZAC Assembly was a great success, it was led completely by the students and it was quite an emotional event. Well done APS students.
