Welcome Lanuola Lefale to St Vincent. Lanuola has recently come from Samoa and has her two brothers Benjamin and Nelson at school too. Lanuola is a very happy little girl and is already making friends. Great to have you at Auckland Point School.

In St Vincent we have made a holiday book, to share all our special memories from our holidays. From the book I have chosen 'Author of the Week' and this week it is Arjay Solloway. He wrote about Christmas morning and going into mum's room and finding his bike and also telling us how he felt - completing all the goals of his writing task. Well done Arjay.

  • We went to Nelson provincial museum today. We learnt many interesting facts about World War One. On the Museum website there are lots of facts about the people from Nelson who went to war. They stayed in Bell shape tents and ate dehydrated food that tasted 'disgusting', and we sent messages by Morse Code.
